The Healer's Dilemma

Every healer occasionally falls short of their own standards — and that's not failure, it's the journey itself. Here's why the guilt we feel on the spiritual path dissolves the moment we remember who we are.

Golden sunrise light breaking through clouds, symbolising the return to inner wholeness on the healer's journey

Hi everyone!

Today I want to speak to my co-healing community about something I've been thinking about quite a bit lately — what I call the "Healer's Dilemma."

You're probably wondering, what in the world is a Healer's Dilemma? Well, anyone who's walked the spiritual path for a while will likely attest to this: at some point, we've all felt guilty about slipping back into old habits, unconscious behaviour patterns, or simply our own imperfection.

Why does this happen? Because most of us have spent years working on ourselves — doing the inner work, practicing mindfulness in thought and action, doing everything we can to align with our Divine Life Purpose. And trust me, it takes real effort and commitment to do this day after day, to consciously stay aligned with our Higher Self and Soul Purpose. We do this because we've become self-aware that our primary objective in this 3D plane of existence — the Mother Gaia, Earth — is to be co-creators of our own reality. And so the first lesson we learn on our healing journey is to take responsibility for everything that happens in our lives.

So when we occasionally fall short of our own standards — of what we think a good healer should be, or how someone on the spiritual path is "supposed" to behave — we may suddenly feel guilty, inadequate, or unworthy of walking this path at all.

And here's the irony: even as we feel this way, we recognise that guilt, inadequacy, and unworthiness are exactly the lower-vibration emotions we've worked so hard to overcome. Which somehow makes it feel even worse.

But having ridden this rollercoaster many times myself, I've come to realise something important: we do not need to feel guilty for our occasional shortcomings — even when they're only self-perceived. We do not need to question our worthiness to walk the path of spiritual awakening our Soul chose for this lifetime. Even when we revisit old wounds, old traumas, and patterns we were convinced we'd long overcome.

We simply don't need to carry that weight. This, my friends, is just a normal part of the healer's journey — of self-discovery, and of healing both self and others.

The moment we become aware of a behaviour, emotion, or pattern we'd like to change, that awareness itself instantly transmutes the lower thought or feeling into the Creator's definition of Unconditional Love. Because at the core, there is nothing to forgive, and nothing to feel unworthy or guilty about. There is only a need to remember our own wholeness — our origin in the Creator's perfection. And in remembering that, we cannot be anything but perfect ourselves, even when, in our human existence, that truth momentarily slips from awareness.

But the moment we return to present-moment awareness, the so-called "Healer's Dilemma" dissolves — back into the wholeness and remembrance of who we are, and why we chose this path.

Till next time...

Love and Light to You and Yours 🙏
